At New York Comic Con I interviewed Superjail creators Christy Karacas and Stephen Warbrick, and here is a video of that interview:

Thanks to all those who submitted questions for me to ask them; obviously I was not able to ask them all of the many questions you fans posted. Several of the questions were answered in the earlier press conference, which I’ve posted below.

Adult Swim has uploaded a video of some of the highlights of the Superjail panel at NYCC, including Titmouse animator James Sugrue performing his live dub of the episode Gay Wedding.

I posted this video earlier in my Superjail Comic Con report, but here are some videos from the Superjail press conference, thanks to kmiTV.

  1. LOL Way to go Calvin, ending the interview on that awkward question. I just love how they are like pfftttcrazy, but still accepting about the whole thing. And have to agree with you, it’s a good thing they haven’t read the fanfiction… It’s all poorly written… Even the porn.

Anyway, thank you so much for conducting that interview! And wow, didn’t think they used Flash MX back then! If I am not mistaken, when they did do Superjail, Flash had been already updated to the CS versions adopted by Adobe, so, either they preferred to use it in the studio or Augenblick did. Really fascinating. It’s true that Adobe integrates more shortcut methods and web integration than previous versions of Flash, so, I can see how it’s more difficult with the newer versions.

Thanks again guys, you did a wonderful job and I hope you all had a load of fun at Comic Con! :)

  2. Thank you for the interesting interview! It’s pretty understandable that the new season isn’t all the way planned yet, and it’s neat to know that there weren’t any big ideas that had to be shoved aside, just a small joke or two. With how show planning can go sometimes, you never know what might make it to the final stage and what won’t.
I’ll be really excited to see how they build off that finale too.

As for a “Dirty fan idea” episode…I would definitely be curious to see how they’d poke fun at the fandom, if they’d actually go through with that idea beyond a joke! Could be quite amusing. And creepy. But oh, just so intriguing to wonder about.

  3. They need bring back superjail season 2 and take off china , il and i dont know that show will make a big hit ?
